Outline of Japan LED Association (JLEDS)
Brief History of JLEDS
- Established in June, 2004 by around 36 LED-related member companies.
- Authorized as NPO (Non Profit Organization) under NPO Promotion Law in July, 2007.
- Advisors' meeting was established in JLEDS among Japan Luminaires Association, The Illuminating Engineering Instutute of Japan, Japan Electric Lamp Manufacturers Association etc.
Purpose of the Association
The purpose of JLEDS is to enlarge the general understanding and support for LED lighting in nation wide and promote LED lighting in various applications from the view of LED's contribution to solving Global environment and saving energy issues.
